The Fantasticks has become an icon of American theater and still holds the record as the longest-running stage production of any kind in the world! An allegorical story, loosely based on the play "The Romancers" ("Les Romanesques") by Edmond Rostand, it concerns two neighboring fathers who put up a wall between their houses to ensure that their children fall in love, because they know children always do what their parents forbid! It is an enchanting tale full of magic and moonlight – a tender coming-of-age story, punctuated with some of Broadway’s most memorable music. “Try to remember, and if you remember, then follow, follow...".
